Xion is an extremely affectionate and quirky little guy. He is approximately 5 months old and weighs 2.4 lbs, he will probably be no bigger then 3 lbs when fully grown. He is crate-trained and does well in the house as long as he is kept on a regular potty schedule. He is currently in foster care, fed 2x a day a grain free dog food.

He walks good on-leash, not real crazy about bath time, but other then that is generally happy. He is a very curious little guy and needs to be kept supervised when out and about, he is still a puppy, tiny, and quick so not be left wandering around on his own.

Seeking a loving, responsible, and stable home environment that has previous dog-parenting experience and financially able to provide the overall care and veterinary preventative care that he needs. His new family should have prior experience with puppies and understanding that they are a "work in progress". He will need guidance to become a well-behaved polite adult and he responds pretty well to positive reinforcement.

He had received one set of vaccines and his rabies (he will need to receive at least two more sets of shots to complete his vaccines protocol), dewormed, neutered, current on flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention.  He will be micro-chipped prior to adoption.

He is used to being indoors and his new family should be willing to maintain him as such.

Please ensure that you do your research on the Chihuahua breed, they are tiny and generally pretty adorable, but if not handled correctly their "cuteness" can become an issue for folks who think small dogs should be overindulged and result in a "small dog" complex.

His adoption fee is $150, veterinary records will be supplied as part of his adoption. If you are seriously interested in adoption, please complete an application by going here: http://tomballsos.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2481.

No meetings will take place without a completed application. If you have any questions, email his foster at rileyw1972-houston@yahoo.com.
