Xio is an extremely affectionate and playful Husky with beautiful green eyes, who is seeking out her forever home. Approximately 8 months old and weighs 38 lbs, will probably be under 50 lbs fully grown. She'd make a great BFF to accompany you hiking or running, loves to also ride shotgun in the car. She's a sucker for a bellyrub and loves her chew toys. She was rescued from a shelter and has been in foster care since then. She is current on her vaccines, Heartworm negative, micro-chipped, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and will be spayed within the next couple of weeks. Working on leash training (she tends to pull a little), loves to ride in the car, working on her commands, knows "sit". She is housebroken/crate-trained, if she is kenneled she will alert vocally when she has to go potty. She's currently fed on a schedule, twice a day, dry grain-free food. Seeking a loving and responsible home that will continue to work with this older puppy to help her develop into a polite adult. Her new home should have a fenced in yard or her family should have access to dog-friendly and secure green space in order to take her out for walks and such. She is used to being indoors and her new family should be willing to maintain her as such, homes with older children are fine (prefer homes with children over 3 years of age, this is open for discussion based on adopter's previous experience with pets), she is child-friendly, but since she's still a puppy herself it would be best if she was not competing for attention in a family with a very young human baby). Grooming needs for Xio are not that bad, she's basically wash/wear since she has a short/medium coat, but she will need to be brushed at least 2x a week to keep any shedding under control. Potential adopters should have prior experience with having dog family members of her size or larger and have the time and willingness to ensure that she receives the proper care to be a happy and healthy pup. Huskies are beautiful dogs, but they are not for everybody. As with any animal adoption, please ensure you do your research to make sure you adequately understand the needs of the animal that you wish to make part of your family.
